Today was the Day

I can't believe I was going to be on a plane to South America right now. It feels so unreal! I'm bummed that I'm still in Oregon, but glad that I have a little extra time to get my things in order, save more money, and to see my sister.

I said goodbye to Tyler last night. He's off to deal with some shit for a week or so. I know when May 21st finally comes, we will both be that much more excited to finally step foot in Perú.

I can't wait!

Worth Every Inconvenience

I've gone through a lot of changes these past six months. Even with all the great things around me, I felt like something was missing and I was sick of complaining about it. So, I left my job, my apartment and fabulous roommate, an amazing boy, all my friends, and a beautiful city to come live in my dad's house in my boring, grey hometown. I had a goal though: save as much money as possible and buy a one-way ticket to South America.

With only a few days left on my countdown to leave the country, I found out my friend and travel partner had to stay a few more weeks and we were going to have to move our tickets back another month. It will all be worth it soon though... 44 days to takeoff.
